Leadership is all about an enduring quality character. Popularity is temporary. Change is often unpredictable. But only character endurance is the one true constant in your life.

Leaders in any case are stewards of a nation, company, team or family ideals. They exist to protect values and believes. To drive positive results for all. A steward is a caretaker, someone who holds something in trust on behalf of others. It is not behavior motivated out of self interest.

Leadership is truly about choosing service over self interest. And properly performed is an exercise,an outgoing and ongoing concern for others, including defining and setting boundaries as needed. For leaders to be effective there must be uncompromising emphasis on integrity of character.

A steward is an individual who upholds what is best for all people even if it may not be in their own interest to do so. In addition in protecting values and believes, good stewards live those values as a model of example of others to follow. Through your actual life you will find your self trust in many different roles. You will be called upon to be a steward whether is right or wrong for many people in your care.

The quality of your stewardship depends on what you perceive a steward to be. And how you think about other people, on the seriousness of your commitment and most importantly on how you determine what is right, good and worth hold me in trust. So leadership is every-ones business. As it is an issue that effects all of us. Not only are we impacted by, but we are also called upon to exercise it in any number of temporary occasions.

Whether we are called upon in leading government business, coaching a team, educating your mind, leading a family, organizing a dinner party or standing for what is right. Everyone participates in leadership roles. So the key question you must embrace is this. Are you the kind of person that other people want to follow? The answer in that question depends on your character.

No one under any circumstances should ever accept the leadership role unless they are willing to have his or her character. People have a divine right to accept and demand good character and exemplary actions from their leaders. Therefore we must lead well or get out of the way.

The true test and strength of an enterprise, or a family is not to be found in their products or services, but in the character of it’s leaders. So the character of a leader is the conscious of the community. It is character through which leadership is exercised. It sets the example and it is not something you can fool people about. And a lack of character will run out of your true in tensions no matter how hard you attempt to cover them up. You must always remember and never forget, that a steward is a caretaker someone who holds something in trust on behalf of others.

Life is full of curious and meaningful paradoxes. Steward leadership is one such paradox that will serve you well in all of your leadership roles, and each day of your life. So ask yourself two very simple questions:

1) Am I the leader whom other people want to follow?

2) What can I do to set a better leadership example that inspires friends, family, and associates to raise the bar in their own performance? Answer these two questions simply talking to your heart, and before it is too late take action and move your self to the same direction as your heart commands.

Be different, be your self.

Best,
