How to Be a Leader Successfully - Using These Great Tips
Business Management, Business communication December 12th. 2009, 2:18amI will be sharing with you my great secrets on how I make everyone working with me productive. In one way or another, we find ourselves in charge of a group and we will want to be successful with them.
You cannot do it alone; it is effectively done if you work with your subordinate and they are carrying out their duties rightly and willingly. Do not be a commander who drives people around like the herdsmen driving their cattle, but do be a Leader who makes people feels good about themselves and their work to produce good results.
Case study has shown it that people who feel good about themselves produce good results.
What I always do is quick notification: This is expressing what you feel about someone behavior or feats using short minute, and it is effective when you have told your people before-hand that you will let them know how they are doing.
There are two types of quick notification that must be done:
1) Quick Praise Giving:
I like to catch my people doing something right, because what I do next always propel them to reach their full potential.
These are things I do when I see them doing something good:
* I praise them immediately.
* I tell them what they have done right: and very specific.
* I let them know how happy I feel about what they have done right and how it helps our organization and co-workers.
* I keep silence for 30 seconds; this I do to make them feel the way I feel, Happy.
* I encourage them to continue the good attitude.
* I touch them in a way that shows my support to their good work.
2) Quick Formal Rebuke.
I do not wait to catch my people doing what is right only, when I also catch them doing wrong, these are things I do:
* I formally rebuke them immediately.
* I tell them what they have done wrong: and very specific.
* I let them know how I feel about what they have done wrong, and how it affects our organization and co-workers.
* I keep silence for 30 seconds; this I do to make them feel the way I feel, not happy.
* I remind them of our much I value them.
* I touch them in a way that explains to them that I am honestly on their side.
Do the above always in your organization, you will begin to see positive change, and be loyal to them. When the quick notification process is over, it should be over with the way you interact with them.
